General Discussion

Natural History, a TWITs workshop on approaches to this subject.

I am planning to conduct a session in May, and I'm thinking about what goes into getting a good result. I am thinking of projecting a few images, and describing the preparation, fieldwork, thinking and anticipation involved.

I have the following ideas which I am thinking about illustrating and discussing.

  • Subject and environment (figure and ground)

  • light

  • POV

  • Camouflage / hide / bag hide

  • Long lens or Macro and monopod / tripod / hand held.

  • Preferred camera settings for quick reaction shots.

Please add to this post any particular thoughts or questions so that I can gear the session exploring your particular interest.

Cheers

This sounds very interesting, also locations as I find this hard not having lived locally for very long.
