A casualty of the Beeching Cuts

Hello all, I’d like this forum to be a learning space to share knowledge, experience, and ideas. Perhaps to discuss your IR images and intent, so lets start:

The image below I titled, ‘A casualty of the Beeching Cuts’. This was to signpost what it was. I was drawn to the strength of the construction, suggesting it was designed to be built for many decades even for a centaury or two. I liked the visual contrast and thought IR would extract more texture. I debated at length about the inclusion of the more modern bench concluding it was there and therefore it should stay. I agree I shoulds give the bench more space on the right to breath and could use content aware fill to achieve this.

Shooting information:

ISO200  f8  1/400

Camera Nikon D300 IR 590nm conversion with Nikon 35mm f2 lens
