Easy portrait with atmosphere.

You may have seen a similar image at various TPC locations.

This is another image captured at the TPC Open Shutter subgroup Portrait Photoshoot with no sophisticated studio lighting equipment-no light in a daytime room with all blinds down and regulating the directional light with one blind beside the sitter.

The RAW image is very similar (except for slightly different shooting angle and facial expression) from the previous image.

This edited image in colour and more location context gives a very different "feel".-The marvels and creativity of digital post-editing.

1.        The captured image was tweaked with "exposure"/"clarity"/"contrast"/"highlights" in RAW converter concentrating on the face.

2.        The image was transferred to Photoshop and the 4 corners were freehand selected ("lasso" tool) in turn with 250 feathered zone and "image"/"auto Tone"-(detail and structure to the hat).

These were subsequently modified in "image"/"adjustments"/"curves", whilst selected, to balance within each zone and the overall image. Also brought subtle detail into jacket

3.        A little tidying with "remove" tool (distracting button).

4.        Final tuning in "Filter"/ "Camera Raw Filter" to maximise the image.
