Portraits These were going to be my entries until I decided to share differently this year! They were capture in Brittany 2024.

They were both an expansion of my playing with in-camera grainy mono preset combined with my usual PS Camera Raw Filter AND REMOVE TOOL!
Both images were of people concentrating exclusively on their conversations oblivious to me! People are a relatively new subject for me.

I have explained why I am not entering competitions this year.
The boat was there to indicate the context as in the pre blurb for the Portraits competition.
The lower portion gives the contrast of the seated pair and the standing passerby.
The image was captured with the contrasty preset grainy images.
I also captured in RAW which I would have used if I wanted a fuller tonal range. I do like high contrast and sometimes reduce to only two tones, pure black and white when it suits the subject.
This was a snatched street scene in Britanny and it's potential came to light in post processing.
