ICC profiles and printing
As you probably know I organised the Tavistock Lions 2024 calendar, and many of this groups members donated photos. Thank you. However, I noticed that some of the pictures when printed by Tradeprint, came out somewhat darker than the originals seemed to be. Max's sunset over Brentor was particularly dark IMHO.
So I made an enquiry to Tradeprint about what happened and they said they normalise all image to a specific CMYK profile (see link).
Now I have this information / ICC profile, what would I need to do with it to ensure that any photos submitted for the 2025 calendar appear as "God intended" when printed?
Thanks

Hi Graham, double clicking on the supplied profile should load it into Photoshop. Then in Photoshop open the image you want to print select edit then select convert to profile then choose the ICC profile that they have provided. I think most photographers who print, lighten their print images because screens are overly bright, a starting point is levels and move the mid slider to read 1.2. I'm sure others have different methods but its worked for me in the past especially when using DSColour labs.
Hope this helps,
